Original Abstract

Využívání moderních technologií se stává součástí průmyslu i zemědělství. Tyto technologie lze využít i ve včelařství, kde mohou pomoci sledovat provoz včelstva na dálku. Včelaři mohou na dálku sledovat hmotnost včelstev, jejich teplotu, vlhkost a další parametry. Tento článek se snaží zmapovat zájem a využití moderních technologií, a to konkrétně monitorovací systém pro dálkovou detekci včel (dále v článku jen jako monitorovací systém), českými včelaři. Pro zmapování problematiky byl proveden kvalitativní výzkum pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se včelaři, výrobci/poskytovateli chytrých zařízení ve včelařství a dalšími subjekty, které se včelařstvím zabývají. Ze zjištění vyplynulo, že zájem výrobců a prodejců nabízet tato chytrá zařízení je značný, ale zájem včelařů je spíše menší, což je dáno např. vyšší pořizovací cenou, slabšími znalostmi IT, tradičními včelařskými postupy, vyšším věkem včelařů a radostí z toho, že jsou se včelami osobně.

English abstract

The use of modern technology is becoming part of industry and agriculture. These technologies can also be used in the beekeeping industry, where they can help to monitor the operation of the colony remotely. Beekeepers can remotely monitor colony weight, temperature, humidity and other parameters. This article attempts to map the interest and use of modern technologies, specifically the remote bee detection monitoring system (hereafter referred to as the monitoring system), by Czech beekeepers. To map the issue, qualitative research was conducted using semi-structured interviews with beekeepers, manufacturers/providers of smart devices in beekeeping and other entities involved in beekeeping. Findings indicated that there is considerable interest from manufacturers and vendors to offer these smart devices, but rather less interest from beekeepers due to e.g. higher purchase price, weaker IT knowledge, traditional beekeeping practices, older age of beekeepers and enjoyment of being with bees in person.
