Original Abstract

This study investigates how clamping systems affect the quality of reaming, a precision machining process. It looks at how the parts holding the tool—the clamping system—interact with the machine and influence the operation’s stability, especially in reducing unwanted vibrations or "chatter." The research explores new designs for easily interchangeable reaming heads and tests different clamping bar designs to see how they behave when the machine is both still and in use. The goal is to find out which designs help make the reaming process more stable and efficient. The results show how different holder designs impact the steadiness of the machining process and offer guidance on improving clamping systems to boost the performance of reaming operations. This work helps in developing better and more effective clamping systems for precision machining.
