Original Abstract

The amount of clean water worldwide is limited, so some countries are trying to manage and reuse water better. However, even water reuse generates waste. In the case of the reverse osmosis (RO) membrane process, we get two output streams: the reusable permeate and the waste concentrate. This work aims to determine the permeate's reusability, whether the concentrate is a hazardous waste, and whether it meets the sewer regulations. The monitored parameters were below the limit for classification as hazardous waste, but three parameters exceeded the limit for the Sewer regulations.
