Original Abstract

Architektonická soutěž návrhů na přestavbu hlavního nádraží v Praze skončila blamáží. Vybraný projekt navíc dostatečně nezohledňuje veřejné zájmy. Před týdnem, 28. listopadu, byla veřejnost seznámena s vítězným návrhem na obnovu Vrchlického sadů a přestavbu odbavovací haly pražského hlavního nádraží. Vzešel z mezinárodního soutěžního dialogu. Záhy se však ukázalo, že jeho průběh i výsledek má několik problematických míst a silný odpor se vzedmul i v široké veřejnosti.

English abstract

The architectural competition for proposals for the reconstruction of the main railway station in Prague ended in embarrassment. In addition, the selected project does not sufficiently take public interests into account. A week ago, on November 28, the public was introduced to the winning proposal for the restoration of Vrchlické Sady and the reconstruction of the check-in hall of the Prague Central Station. It emerged from an international competitive dialogue. It soon became clear, however, that its course and outcome had several problematic points, and strong opposition arose even among the general public.
