Original Abstract
Computer modelling of circuits is of much significance for the synthesis and analysis of circuits. In the design of circuits, their functions and basic properties are usually first verified by simulation, after which an experimental test on a real specimen is performed. In many cases, when the active element itself is not available, computer simulation is the only possibility how to test and examine the properties of the proposed circuit. The accuracy of simulation results depends on the quality of the simulation algorithms used and on the accuracy of the models applied. The paper concentrates on current conveyors and transimpedance amplifiers. Every circuit manufacturer has in most cases a model of their own conception, designed such that it works properly in the recommended connections. When non-standard circuit structures are used, which is absolutely necessary in the research into new connections, simulated performance exhibits considerable deviations from the measured performance. For elements that are not yet in production the computer model must be prepared on the basis of assumed properties. Fundamental deliberations concerning the design of models of the above elements are presented in the paper.
