Original Abstract

The cement-bonded particleboards can be applied in system buildings of all kind, they are ideal for dry method of construction, for buildings in demanding climatic conditions and in areas, where the other advantageous properties of this building material can be used. The boards are composed from wooden materi-al, cement, water and hydration admixtures. This paper deals with possibilities of full or partial supplying of primary components in original prescription of wood-cement boards by fast renewable materials. That will achieve a decrease in production loads, modification of building board characteristics and, last but not least, a decrease in ecological damage. Unfortunately, not every fast renewable or secondary raw material could be used as filler in cement bonded building materials. Alternate aggregates must not noticeably affect adversely interaction with cement or any other used component at hydration. One of the potential alternatives is hemp (Cannabis sativa).
