Original Abstract
This article discusses the comparison of Particle Swarm Optimization and Genetic Algorithm by the utilization to optimize the shunt compensation in the middle voltage (MV) distribution network. Both algorithms look for minimum expenses of the power losses of network and minimum capital and operation costs.
