Original Abstract
The paper is involved in the characteristics of retail business in the Czech Republic. It mainly focuses on global trends and compares them in certain aspects with other selected countries of the Central Europe. Furthermore, it characterizes current development of retail business in the Czech Republic and notifies of the importance of key aspects of satisfaction of customers for its further development. The paper has been created within the bounds of the European Social Fund project named Improvement in the Quality of Education and Strengthening of Manager Competence within the bounds of the curriculum Economy and Management at the Business and Management Faculty of the Brno University of Technology (Identification No.: CZ.04.1.03/3.2.15.2/0284)
