Original Abstract
A new LBIC workplace was assembled which use light of different wavelengths. Use of various wavelength light excitation provides different absorption profiles within the samples in dependence on different absorption coefficients of actuating light. The LBIC current then provides information for visualizing both bulk and surface processes depending on the penetration depth. LBIC picture which is taken by the red and infrared light excitation mainly gives information about the processes in the substrate volume, whereas the blue light LBIC picture is practically given only by near surface processes. When using green light excitation both surface and bulk processes can be detected but there is difficult to discriminate if the given defect is on the surface or in the bulk of the PV cell.
