Original Abstract

In this paper, a novel building block for analog signal processing the differential-input buffered and transcon-ductance amplifier (DBTA) is presented. The proposed four-input and two-output (FITO)-type voltage-mode universal filter using single DBTA can realize all filter functions (i.e., low-, band-, high-pass, band-stop, and all-pass) without changing the circuit topology and en-ables independent control of the quality factor Q using single passive element. No component matching is re-quired and all the passive and active sensitivities are low. PSPICE simulations using a BJT realization of DBTA and experimental results based on commercially available amplifiers OPA860 and MAX436 are included to verify the theoretical conclusions of the proposed circuit.
