Original Abstract
Process management is commonly used in most firms. Effective management of business processes leads to increasing in productivity and efficiency by the right costs. The result is distinct competitive advantage in the market. Nobody doubt about necessity to manage business processes through the use of information technology. Information support of processes only is not warranty of succeed. Attention is focused to the question how to manage and support a business processes by the help of available information technologies the most efficiency way with respect to firm environment. Process management means control of activities sequence in the frame of the concrete process. It concerns to the definition of a process, continuous evaluation and subsequent optimization of parameters, inputs, outputs and link to environment. There is ideal to support both levels of process management with unique software solution. The result of solution gives to process management required flexibility and transparency of process innovation keeping process stability, feedback and possibility of a process monitoring in their real life. The article describes using of discrete event simulation tools like an instrument of business process management and process optimization focused to processes in a travel agency.
