Original Abstract

This article deals with a special type of adaptive algorithms based on orthogonalization of input data. Adaptive nature is achieved using conventional LMS filter that receives orthogonalized input samples and produces response close to desired output. A difference between actual and desired output is used to adjust the parameters of LMS filter. In this kind of filtering the goal is to faster the convergence rate in order to boost the performance in fast-paced environment. In real-time applications it is necessary for the system to be computationally efficient. Therefore a DCT transform is applied as a tool for orthogonalization instead of conventional methods.
