Description of the technology

The multifunctional unit allows testing of different types of catalysts both in the laboratory and in long-term operation. It can be used to evaluate the lifetime of catalysts, which depends for example on fouling. This multifunctional device can also be used for measuring waste gas, pollutant detection and catalyst selection for a specific application. Various types from monolithic catalysts to bulk bed catalysts can be tested.

A major advantage is the ability to adapt the equipment to different operating conditions, which is particularly useful for the heavy chemical industry. For laboratory tests, the equipment can be connected to the combustion furnace and mixing section, so that the necessary waste gas composition can be mixed.
