We develop and market Astacus® technology. This technology is used for cleaning drinking water supply pipes, testing fire hydrants, measuring hydraulic quantities and water temperature in pipes.
We are a technology company that specializes in the hydraulics of water supply pipe networks, hydraulic modeling and the quality of drinking water in water networks. We have developed the Astacus® technology, which is used for automated testing of the hydraulic capacity of fire hydrants, for cleaning water pipes, measuring hydraulic quantities and water temperature in pipes. The Astacus technology consists of a machine (robot) that is used to measure and regulate the water released from the hydrant, and a server that provides computing support to the machines in the field. The technology is intended for operators of water supply networks, enabling them to carry out an efficient and economical method of pipe cleaning by controlled flushing in pipe sections. During pipe cleaning, information on the flow, pressure and temperature of the water in the pipe is automatically measured, stored and evaluated. The cleaning of water pipes using a robot can thus be performed by one water network technician after a short training, while his performance is always perfect, because the procedure is driven by computer. Thanks to the precise control of the water flow from the hydrant, a significant saving in the water used for flushing is also achieved. When using the Astacus technology, there is a saving of 60 to 70 percent compared to existing procedures.
