WIPO and World Intellectual Property Day

World Intellectual Property Day traditionally falls on 26 April. The main purpose of the annual commemoration of this day is to highlight the role of intellectual property in the development of creativity and innovation.

This year, in 2024, World IP Day is dedicated to the theme "Intellectual Property and the Sustainable Development Goals: Building our Common Future through Innovation and Creativity". The aim of this year's theme is to explore the ways in which intellectual property and creativity can support sustainability in its social, economic and environmental dimensions, thereby contributing to the creation of a promising future for all humanity.
