The course provides an introduction to qualified usage of commercial software system FLUENT and a brief introduction to solving computational problems including combustion. It is a second part of a two-semester course on CFD modelling. Students will be made familiar with the generation of geometric entities and computational grid using GAMBIT pre-processor, definition of boundary conditions, and with setting parameters of computations in the FLUENT program, further with monitoring of a running simulation, as well as with analysing simulation results. The lectures are organised in a computer laboratory and a part of the training includes individual work on smaller problems. Students will make use of the knowledge obtained in the first part of the course, passing of which is a required condition for the applicants.
