Course detail

Geometrical Modelling

FSI-MGMAcad. year: 2010/2011

The subject is focused on modern technology and modern methods used in the development and design of a product. At the beginning the term "Computer Aided Design" is defined along with its integration into the production process. Next, CAD systems are dealt with in more detail, systems separated into categories and the use of each category is explained with a view to working methods and available tools. Part of this subject is concerned with collaborative design between computerized workstations over a network (LAN). The final part concerns product description in CNC machining and various methods of rapid prototyping and efficiency reverse engineering methods.
