Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be made familiar with the legislative conditions related to the use of machines on building sites and superficial roads. They will learn how to train the machine operators, including organization of regular stuff training. Successful completion of the course is necessary for obtaining a driving licence for earthwork machines.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of the course is conditional on the basic knowledge of technical mechanics, machine parts and their mechanisms, and principles of electrical engineering.

Co-requisites

Not applicable.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The course is finished with a graded course-unit credit. It is awarded on condition of having attended the tutorials actively and worked out operating instructions and philosophy of staff training lessons for the selected earthwork machine. The mark will reflect the quality of the work, as well as number of points obtained in the test (0 to 50 points). It will be classified according to the Rules for Studies and Examinations valid at Brno University of Technology.
