Operation principles, working cycles and structures of aircraft engines in the scope necessary for aircraft designers and air transport specialists. Basic parameters, engines classification. Piston aircraft engines, classification,arrangement, working principles, cycles, basic parts, accessory systems, present-day state, maintenance, performance. Gas turbine engines, classification, operation principles, air intake, compressors, combustion chambers, turbines and exhaust systems. Turbojet engines, turboprop and turboshaft engines. Principles and outlook of ram-jet engines, pulsating jet engines and rocket engines.
