Creative Methods in Engineering

The students will be made familiar with the basic knowledge of the process of thinking, aimed at the creative way of thinking, in contrast to the basic features of the conventional way of thinking. In accordance with the systematic approach, methods of creative thinking and barriers to creativity are systematized and analysed. Typology of personality and of its dispositions is made. Students learn the fundamentals of general and special ethics, aimed at the ethics of scientific cognitive process, ethics of dialogue and ethics of business. In accordance with the systematic approach, the latest approaches to solving engineering problems are presented, i.e. parallel engineering, computer support, re-engineering, computer aided production, safety engineering, mechatronic approach, and logistics, at a general level.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students get basic information in the area of psychology of the personality, creative methods of thinking and the team work in relation to the emotion intelligence.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge at the level of secondary school of philosophy, psychology and biology is a prerequisite of this course. Further, knowledge of systematic methodology, creation of technical objects and modelling. This course should be enrolled parallelly with psychology of personality.

Aims

The aim is to provide students with basic information on psychology of the personality, about creative methods in proposal of technical objects, emotion intelligence and problems of team working.
