The course "Optical Engineering" deals with the aspects of optics and is based on the new trends and recent results in applications of modern optics for solving engineering tasks. The main aim of the subject is focused on the following areas: transmission and evaluation of optical information, elements of special optical measurement systems, non-destructive measurement techniques, holography, optical correlation and spatial filtering, fibre optics, integrated optics, electro-optical and acousto-optical elements, lasers and their selected applications.
