Course detail

Parametric Modeling - Inventor, Catia

FSI-ZM1Acad. year: 2010/2011

The goal of the course CAD I is make the acquaintance of common properties of CAD systems and to attach some practical experiences of 3D modeling of parts assemblies. Based on programs of Autodesk – the Inventor and Solidworks the students will acquired with solid design and of possible ways of design used in practice.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit: active attendance in practices, presentation of project results.
Examination: defence of semestral project, delivery of project results in paper an digital form. Form of project results delivery:
1) 3D digital model
2) drawing documentation in paper form (main assembly and subassemblies) minimal size of drawing format is A2.
3) Technical report in paper form
4) Four reference pictures in PNG or JPEG (min. resolution 1600x1080)
5) All mentioned data in digital form on CD with
author names, name of project, year and group number on front side.
