New Mediality - summer

The course focuses on the theory of multimedia, intermedia, cyberculture, and digital media. It introduces students to current ideas and terminology connected with the issues of intermedia, multimedia artistic expression, forms, and strategies in the given field. It laso deals with social changes influenced by electronic technologies and by new media as an independent area both of practices and theory. The course deals with collaborative nature of intermedia and multimedia art, it shows the social context of groups functioning both on institutional and informal basis. It deals with mutual interaction of new media, technology, society, and their impact on perception and on their social context.
