The course familiarises students with the methodology for solution of complex tasks in design, construction and application of automated manufacturing systems. The students get basic knowledge in the design of manufacturing system layout, material transport and handling systems, material flow, logistics, information handling in preparing the manufacturing process and its realisation and modern methods of work organisation. Students are also provided with the knowledge of technical tools used when building a manufacturing system (machines, systems for material handling and storage and elements for their control and automation).
