Course detail

Up-to-Date Building Technologies

FA-ASTAcad. year: 2011/2012

The subject reacts to the present problems and requirements in architecture, building, structural physics and power engineering of buildings, and offers modern and perspective technical and structural solutions to the design and execution of buildings. The classes inform on new structures and technologies of contemporary building, on new building materials, their physical properties, power savings and their influence on the environment. Reference is made to the principles of architectural and technical designing of buildings with a passive or low power consumption, to the solution of rationally controlled power consumption of buildings. The aim is to extend the fundamental knowledge of students of the bachelor degree study, to offer them up-to-date information on the discipline, and to extend their ability to apply the gained knowledge in practical design and building activity.
