Studio I - Graphic Design 2 - summer

FaVU-B1PK-LAcad. year: 2011/2012

Since some 25 years ago, paper and book have been viewed as independent categories of art (Paper Art, Book Art or Artists' Books). Recently the terms Authors' Paper and Authors' Books have become frequent. The Atelier of Paper and Book in my conception is an interdisciplinary university (academic) platform for those interested in overlaps of art and craft

Aims

Ideally the graduates become free-lance artists and establish a specific atelier. Like many artists with academic education, they can become art teachers. They can also find job outside the sphere of art as exclusive bookbinders with a focus on special editions, bibliophile's books, gift cases, or they can work in DTP studios and printing houses. Seriously interested students continue in the master's degree studies to get the maximum knowledge and experience. As bachelor degree holders leave the school not only students who do not have "lofty aims" but also highly talented students who think they have mastered everything or who have managed - through educational stays elsewhere and additional courses - to learn everything they need in shorter time than others.
