Studio II - Environment - winter

Students develop their experiences from practical subjects and interconnect them with the knowledge gained from theoretic areas and technology. They are assigned tasks which they perform with respect to their individual talent and disposition.

Course curriculum

Third semester: picture - object
a) transitional forms - non-traditional forms of picture and statue presentation /spatiotemporal relations/
b) assamblage, frottage etc. - methods of using 3D elements in the 2D form
c) theoretic aspects of the notions "picture", "object"
d) theoretic-practical digression to the history of object: from prehistoric ritual objects to ready-mades
e) realisation - object as autonomous form
f) text - selfstanding artefact, utilitarian defence

Aims

Students of both bachelor and master study programmes should gain experiences, knowledge and skills necessary for the fulfilment of their individual artistic position in the academic environment, but mainly for their future artistic practise.
