The course aims at students' improving of their figural drawing skills, emphasizing the correct construction of the figure, its proportion, anatomy, expression, and composition.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

A study, expressive drawing. Formal aspects are emphasized.

Prerequisites

Students have to have basic orientation in the human anatomy terminology as well as in morphology and antropology.
The have to be acquainted with the elements of linear perspective.
They have to be familiar with art history and be able to respond to the given examples from art history.

The elementary drawing habits and the "hygiene" of drawing: distance, angle of view, horizon
The characteristics of various drawing materials and ways of drawing
Countour, line, and tone drawing
Fast drawings
Expressional and "free' drawing
