The skull, the head, mimic muscles, gestures, face expressions. Morphological basis of human communication.

60% attendance, anatomical sketchbook.

Course curriculum

1. Face expression, gestures in general. Communication adn art. Antropological consequences.
2. Morphological, psychological, and antropological preconditions of human face expressions - experimental studies (analysis, explication).
3. Physiological and mimic function of face muscles. Cathegorization, characteristics.
4. Muscles in the slit lid, of the forhead, muscles in the area of the the nose, ear, mouth, jaws, and neck
5. the form-constituting elements of the face (the eye, ear, mouth, chin, cheeks), the face and head as a whole
6. The nose from the point of veiw of the antropologist. reconstruction of the face from the skulll

Aims

Students will be trained in "morphological thinking": they willuse morphological literature and their knowedge to solve conctrete art problems.
