Micromanipulation of particles. Microflow in capillary tubes. Microdrops. Properties of fluids. Mechanical, chemical and enzymatic cell disruption. Precipitation and salting-out odf proteins. Filtration. Centrifugation. Extraction - types of extractors and their design. Extraction using aqueous two-phase systems. Large scale chromatographic techniques. Production of proteins using genetically modified microorganisms (GMO) and methods of their isolation. Storage of proteins. Validation of production quality.
