Laboratory Classes in Instrumental and Structure Analysis - MS

FCH-MAA_ISA_MAcad. year: 2011/2012

Students will introduce basic methods for research and evaluation of supramolecular structure and thermo-mechanical properties of polymer materials. Used are microscopy and spectroscopy methods and methods of thermo-mechanical analysis. The stress is laid on the accurate evaluation and interpretation of the obtained data and an examination of particular method availability for the tested material.

Aims

The aim is to acquaint with selected methods for polymer materials evaluation and testing together with a sample preparation and a proper choice of testing conditions. Of principal is an interpretation of experimental data and realization of connection of polymer materials properties with their structure.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

The attendance is required. In case of absence, the particular seminar can be compensated by attending with another group or in the last week of semester. An unexcused absence is a reason for the loss of the course-unit credit.
The examination of basic knowledge relating to the particular project is done at the beginning of each exercise (oral or in writing).
Laboratory reports are required till 7 days after the last exercise at the latest.
