The aim is in complexe appraisal of material proposal and conclusion of problems in sence of economics, processing and utility of products, recyclation etc..

Structure and properties of macromolecules
Degradation, stabilization and additivation of polymers
Technology of plastic processing
Laboratory course of macromolecular chemistry

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The aim is a semestral work included the proposal of manufacturing of particular plastic aplication.

Aims

The subject of the lecture-course is given to design the products made from plastics, otherwise the connexion between technologic and economic possibilities of plastic proccesing techniques. The target is ability to define material requirements a ability to create an own design of problem solution for given application.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendancy in lecture is recomended. Student elaborate some partial exersices dealed for example with shrinkage by injection molding etc. Finally student prepare individual project of new design of plastics product.
