Course detail
FCH-DCO_SYPAcad. year: 2011/2012
The objective of the course is extend the knowledge of PhD students of macromolecular chemistry discipline in the field of advanced polymer synthesis. Presentation of a theme of course starts from structure of monomer and its reactivity, continues with description of reaction mechanism particularly in relation to the used catalytic system and is finalized by information about structure of created polymer. The course is devided into three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to coordination polymerisation of alkens, diens and cycloolefins, second chapter to polymerisation and polycondensation of "nonclassic" organic polymers ( polymers containing S and P atoms in the main chain, conducting and photoconducting polymers and models of biopolymers). Third chapter deals with the synthesis of inorganic and organometallic polymers. The course includes also practical information about nonclassic polymer synthesis in laboratory scale.
