Process Management

The course provides information about process modelling, analysis of processes, their optimisation and management. The course also addresses the problem of IS/IT support of process management. Introduces the architecture of process maps. It also informs on the links to the organizational structure of the business entity.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will learn how to analyse problems. They will master the method of approaching the problem of optimisation and management of company processes.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of management and organisation of production and non-production companies.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended all practicals and presented a semester project. The exam has a written and an oral part. Final grade will reflect the exam result (70%) and the mark given for the semester project (30%).

Aims

The objective of the course is to make students familiar with analyse, design and management of processes to achieve high efficiency and fullfiled quality requirements.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at lectures is not compulsory, but is recommended. Attendance at seminars is compulsory and controlled. Absence from seminars can be compensated for via consultations with the tutor.
