The course provides information from the area of development, design and implementation of enterprise information systems in all stages of their life cycle.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will obtain basic skills and knowledge necessary for specifying requirements for an information system, its analyses, design and implementation. Students will be able to co-ordinate activities when implementing information systems in companies.

Prerequisites

Secondary school knowledge of informatics and knowledge of operating, database and office systems and internet applications using.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended all lectures and presented a semester project. The exam has a written and an oral part.

Aims

The objective of the course is to make students familiar with theoretical methods, methodologies and the use of information systems in the frame of a company management.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at lectures is compulsory. Attendance at seminars is not compulsory, but is recommended. Absence from lectures and seminars cannot be compensated for via consultations with the tutor.
