It is hypothesized knowledge of company management to the extent of lectures Management I. and II.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Preparation of assignment with topic: Factors of Success in Multinational Company
1. Background:
Based on the study of literature and your knowledge’s, materials provided, consultation with the tutor, the individual work have introduced several aspects of management in international company. This work is designed to give you an integrating view on managerial process in real world international company.
2. Task:
You are required to produce a management report dealing particular aspect of the managerial process in real company. The maximum length of the report is 3000 words (excluding appendices). Your report should create an integral part of the complex report, dealing with managerial process and your opinion for future development of selected international company.

To complete the work you will need to:
• Collect information by using internet materials, annual reports, and literature.
• Organise, evaluate and synthesise your information in a way allows you to gain insight and understanding what is happening and which should be further development in the company.
• Prepare a written report that shows insight and understanding of the topic.

3. Contents of individual work:

1. Title page of BMF, BUT Brno
2. Used methodology of gaining the information and data
3. Review of management sciences literature
4. Introduction of the company
5. Analysis of selected company.
6. Definition the factors of success (organisational structure, company’s culture, owners, managerial system, career system, etc.).
7. Conclusion.

4. Assessment criteria for assignment:
• Your ability to interpret information and translate your observation into practical and meaningful exercise.
• Skill of analysis and ability to gain meaningful understanding of the complex issues surrounding the given business.
• Quality of written report (e.g. presentation, structure, fitness of purpose, literature, citation, etc.).

Compensation for absence of student must be discussed with professor. If absence will be longer than one semester, student must prepare one additional work. Topic of additional work will be selected and discussed with professor.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Students must pass final exam based on discussion of two questions.

A main objective of the course is to master theoretically management. Students will know modern comprehension and application of management.
