The subject Foreign Language - English to Pre-Intermediate Level aims to bring students’ knowledge of English up to pre-intermediate level, which is a level just under the CEF B1 level. The subject is divided into four levels: BYA1 – low elementary (or beginner); BYA2 – elementary; BYA3 – higher elementary; BYA4 – pre-intermediate. At each level, grammar and vocabulary is taught and practiced, along with primarily speaking and listening skills. After completing BYA4 the student should be able to communicate in English about many topics found in everyday life; this ability will be tested in the BY01 exam.
