The subject focuses on the gaining of basic knowledge of the construction and structure of the human locomotive system, and knowledge of the construction and structure of human organs and systems. This knowledge is necessary to study in subsequent subjects in the presented bachelor's study programme.

-Introductory lecture, morphology of the locomotive system.
-Cell, tissue, anatomical terminology.
-Bones, joints - general studies: description of bones, composition, connection, joints, types of joints and their biomechanics.
-Special theory on bones and joints: description of the individual bones and joints. - General theory on muscles: composition, shape, terminology, biomechanics.
-Special theory on muscles: description of the individual muscles (origin, insertion, function, innervation).
-Anatomy of the construction and structure of human organs and systems.
-Cardiovascular system: heart, blood vessels - construction, function.
-Respiratory system: construction, function.
-Digestive system: individual organs, composition, function.
-Endocrine system: construction, function, effect on other systems.
-Nervous system: CNS, peripheral nervous system - construction, function.
-Sensory system: construction, function. Final summary of the subject.

Aims

The subject focuses on the gaining of basic knowledge of the construction and structure of the locomotive system, and knowledge of the construction and structure of the individual organs and systems.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

The subject is divided into lectures and practical lessons. Lectures and practical lessons are compulsory. The subject will end with a written test. A student's absence from any lesson must be duly excused and a substitute lesson taken as agreed with the head of the subject.
