This course is focussed on the architecture, main building blocks description and significant parameters definition of the analogue and digital radio communication systems. First part of this course is devoted to the description of the electronic circuitry used in radio systems e.g. mixers, oscillators, frequency synthesizers, analogue and digital signals modulators/demodulators, AVC and AFC circuits, RF power amplifiers, drivers, power combiners etc. Second part presents selected analogue radio systems e.g. FM stereo broadcasting or RDS. Third part deals with methods of digital signal processing used in the software radio receivers and transmitters. Last part comprises description of the T-DAB system.
