Learning outcomes of the course unit

The students gain review about the bases of reliability of electrotechnical products.They become familiar with the problems of ageing of electrotechnical equipment.

Bases of statistics.Distribution of random variable and their use in reliability.
Reliability of expendable.Probability of trouble-free operation.Probability of failures.Density of failures, intensity of failures.Mean time of trouble-free operation.Relations between characteristics of reliability.
Reliability of systems.Creating reserves.Active and passive creating reserves.
Standardization.Statistics at checking of quality of production processes.International standardization.
Introduction of ISO 9000 quality system.
Defects in initial materials and their influence on final properties of elements.Defects iniciated by production technology.
Mechanisms and kinetics of processes of ageing and depreciation.Interaction between the conditions of exploitation and electrotechnical equipment. Complex,partial and model stresses and their relation to depreciation.
