Course curriculum

Basic terms. Standards of electrical units. Uncertainty of measurements. Accuracy of analogue instruments. Accuracy of digital instruments. Static characteristics of analogue instruments. Dynamic characteristics of analogue instruments. Moving-coil system, operating torque, voltmeter, ammeter. Moving-coil instruments with rectifier. Ferromagnetic system. Electrodynamic and ferrodynamic system. Shunt, additional resistor, divider. Rectifier, one-wave and full-wave, moving-coil voltmeter with rectifier. Thermocouple. Transformers for measurement. Measuring amplifiers. True RMS to DC converters. Oscilloscopes. Measurement of DC and AC voltage and current. Measurement of one phase and three power. Measurement of frequency, time interval and phase. Measurement of resistance, Ohm's method, digital ohmmeter. Resistance bridges. Measurement of impedance. AC bridges. Sensors of non-electrical quantities.
