Electromechanical Systems

The subject is lectured in english language and is determined for those who want to improve their knowledge of technical english.Basic terminology of DC and AC electrical machines and transformers. Principle of operation of DC and AC electrical machines and transformers. Principle of operation of DC and AC electric drives. DC to DC and AC to DC innverters. Energy and power flow, efficiency.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The students will be familiar with the basic knowledge of technical english of the branch Power Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The active knowledge will be promoted by individual homeworks the aim of which is to know to write the technical reports and to evaluate the measured results.

Prerequisites

The subject knowledge on the Bachelor´s degree level is requested.

The aim of the subject is to repeat the knowledge from electromechanical energy conversion,electric drives ad power electronics and to improve the knowledge of technical english.
