Diploma Seminar II (M-FIN, M-PMO)

FSI-TSRAcad. year: 2011/2012

Each student is required to deliver one or two fifteen-minutes reports on the results achieved when working out his/her diploma project. The presentation should meet the requirements for a short paper typical for conferences or for an introductory speech at the defence of the diploma thesis.

Students are supposed to have the knowledge acquired during the study related to the topic of their theses.

Aims

The aim of the course is to teach students how to prepare an oral conference contribution and to defend their results and views in a discussion.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at seminars is obligatory and is checked by the tutor. Missed lessons may be compensated for by the agreement with the tutor.

Syllabus

The students are informed in detail about the requirements of a fifteen minutes conference speach. Each student delivers such a speech the subject of which is his/her diploma project and the content and form of the spech is immediately discussed at the seminar.
