Course detail

Systems Engineering II

FSI-KS2Acad. year: 2011/2012

The course extends the knowledge from previous partial subjects of the specialization. It presents the systematic survey of the most important process plants from main process industries (industry of complex crude-oil treatment and natural gas processing, chemical and petrochemical industry, cement and lime industry, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry, ecological and special process plants) together with their brief historical development to present solutions. During the course the students obtain the base knowlegde of the chemical reaction kinetics and reactors designing. The important process plants are connected with series of examples and calculation solutions of concrete industrial applications. It enables to demonstrate the problematics of plants creation and complex evaluation of plants conception and possibilities, together with evaluation of individual equipment and its influence on plants characteristics.
