Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students gain knowledge and practical skills for evaluation of construction works, ability of cost control in the preparation and progress of construction with the help of selected software products.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge from economy and civil engineering required.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Exam is composed of written test and defense of semestral work. Student must gain 50 from 100 points in written test. Credit is granted for the semestral work - evaluation of selected construction work with the help of gained knowledge.

4. Methodologies for cost calculation in determination of prices of building objects and building supply
5. Procedures of cost calculation for determination of prices of building objects and building supply
6. Prices of building works, procedure of assembly from own costs, profit and condition on the market.
7. Prices of building objects as a part of life-cycle costs
8. Contract prices in building construction
9. Rent prices of building machines
10. Transport prices in building construction
11. Prices of design and engineering work
12. Price indices
13. Prices in building construction in foreign countries

Aims

Goal of this course is to gain information and knowledge about the system of evaluation in progress construction, especially prices of construction works made with respect to the life cycle of building, evaluation of design and engineering activities and current system of price indices in the civil engineering.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance control in seminars and control of fractional parts of semestral work.
