Course detail

Reliability, Safety and Diagnostics of Technical Systems

FSI-RBDAcad. year: 2011/2012

The subject is focused on the most advanced knowledge about reliability, safety and diagnostics of technological systems which are available in the engineering and electro-technical practice. Emphasis is laid on the principles of the reliability and safety assurance in the designing area, especially, the operation of the systems described above. Furthermore, attention is focused on the reliability indices of unrepaired and repaired objects, safety and reliability analysis, their procedures and the possibility of increasing reliability. Maintenance during operating technological systems is also discussed. The students will be also familiarized with the reliability tests, reliability information system, appropriate standards and valid legislation. Attention is also focused on the analysis and the description of technological diagnostics including diagnostic signal analysis, measuring methods and tools, and evaluation. The detailed description of the selected diagnostic methods is presented.
