Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be acquainted with the general approaches applied in interpretation of technological variables and they will learn the special machining processes, especially for shaped and precision surfaces.

Prerequisites

Students are expected to familiar with technological characteristics of cutting methods, machine tools, cutting tools.

Co-requisites

Not applicable.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Evaluation covers the student’s work in the exercises and the knowledge tested by the examination. Depending on the topic, the exercises are completed in a technological laboratory or in a classroom in a form of a seminar. The examination consists of written and oral part. In the written part, the student has to prove an independent and professional approach in solving assigned tasks. The oral part consists of a discussion on a randomly selected topic.
