Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

1) Conditions for being granted credit: working out and submitting drawings assigned during the semester; passing both written test; active attendance of at least 10 tutorials from 13.
2) Examination: written examination; one regular term and two resit terms - point assessment,
min./max = 35/70 points.
3) Resutling ECTS classification: sum of points obtained for tutorials and for examination.

Course curriculum

1) Introduction to the architecture. Fundamental terms. Structure of building. Hierarchy of structures and systems. Pre-construction phase.
2) Technical standardisation and modular coordination
3) Structural systems I - sorting, typology and stability of objects. Wall structures.
4) Structural systems II - Reinforced concrete skeleton systems
5) Lintels and rings
6) Floor structures I - Survey and technical requirements
