Italian for Pre-Intermediate Students

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will accomplish the aim of the course, which is: mastering vocabulary to the extent of 800 words, basic grammar for speaking in the Present Future and Past tenses.
Reading skills, translating simpler texts, simple topic communication, speaking and writing skills.

Prerequisites

To the extent of the optional subjects Italian for Beginners.

1. U4: past tense-passato prossimo, past participes of irregular verbs; activities at the weekend.
2. U4: adverbs in passato prossimo; job interview.
3. U4: modal verbs in passato prossimo; in a bar, Italian coffee, the Italian in the bar.
4. U5: future tense- futuro semplice; my future.
5. U5: future tense- futuro anteriore; weather, trip, feastdays in Italy.
6. U5: if-clause; travelling in Italy
7. U6: possessive pronouns; family
8. U6: in a restaurant.
9. U6: cooking, in the kitchen, Italian cuisine.
10: U7: past tense- imperfetto.
11: U7: imperfetto and passato prossimo-use; speaking about the past.
12: U7: past perfect tense; in the cinema, Italian cinema.
13: revision U4-U7
