Spanish Intermediate - Part I

This course concentrates on the following areas:
- understand daily life phrases and gain the ability to satisfy needs in every day
situations,
- be able ask about personal things.

The course will conclude with test, which will asses the students’ knowledge of useful vocabulary and phrases and the ability of understand texts.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student will be able to understand basic information that is expressed clearly and in a standard way, will be able to form short simple texts on common topics, will reach the target level A2 lower according to the CEFR

Prerequisites

Students should have knowledge of the level that corresponds to subjects BYS1and BYS2 so they can take profit of this course.

Course curriculum

All units are from Nuevo Ven 1.

Week 1 - Unit 11 – Express feelings. Conversations with friends in your free time.

Week 2 - Unit 11 – Préterito Indefinido of irregular verbs. Pronouns and adjectives indefinite.

Week 3 - Unit 12 – Traveling: have problems with the flight and the weather. Reclamation of luggage.

Week 4 - Unit 12 – Possessive and demonstratives adjectives and pronouns. Verbs used to express the weather.

Week 5 - Unit 13 – Speak about things that happened in the past. Vocabulary of the human body.

Week 6 - Unit 13 – Préterito imperfecto. The verb to hurt.

Week 7 - Unit 14 – Registration in the University and the study of a foreign language.

Week 8 - Unit 14 – Direct and indirect object. Conditional phrases.

Week 9 - Unit 15 – Speak about the life of the others using all the studied tenses.

Week 10 – Unit 15 – Préterito indefinido. Comparative and superlative structures.

Week 11 – Practicing of studied grammar and vocabulary.

Week 12– Conversation about the studied themes.

Week 13 – Tests.

The aim of this course is to teach the Spanish language and the basic communicative skills that are necessary to achieve the level A1 superior.
